Description
Bee Angelic is a graffiti botanical in the Overgrowth Collection where street art ephemera, botanicals, bees and other garden creatures “grow” over a classic image—signaling the “death” to outdated modalities and social norms. Bee Angelic is a work meant to bring peace, joy and inspiration to the viewer. It’s as if the angel depicted is watching over the collector in the most beautiful way. Come to the alter for good vibes only. Leave your troubles behind. Antique gold-leafed frame with botanicals hand printed and spilling on to the alter. Reinterpreted foundational portrait by Abbott Handerson Thayer (1849-1921). Subject: daughter Mary Thayer. 18th Century.
