AUGUST 2023 | SOLO EXHIBITION AT WEINBERGER FINE ART

“UNEXPECTED BLOOMS”

works by Katrina Revenaugh

Opening Night at Weinberger Fine Art

A neutral palette, invites viewers to appreciate the subtleties and nuances present in each piece. The absence of bold hues serves to
amplify the intricate details, inviting a closer examination of the artwork’s raw, organic qualities. It is through this understated color
palette that the ephemeral nature botanicals is brought to life.

Unexpected Blooms is a sensory journey.A fusion of art and nature. The rawness of graffiti and the delicate beauty of botanical forms.
It explores the world of botanicals by reimagining their essence through abstract interpretations and hand-cut floral shapes. The use of traditional techniques infused with contemporary abstraction expresses the inherent complexities and layers found in street art and the natural world.

BLOOM YOUR ROOM....

This collection features 3D wall hangings. These sculptural works draw viewers into a realm where botanical forms take on new dimensions and perspectives with the interplay of light, shadow, and texture. With each piece, there is a harmonious dialogue between the organic and the urban—capturing the essence of nature’s resilience and the grit of street art in an unexpected way.

“Unexpected Blooms celebrates the convergence of nature and urban culture, inviting us to explore the unusual beauty that lies within the
intersection of these two worlds. Through my art, I hope to evoke a sense of wonder, connection, and appreciation for the ever-present beauty that surrounds us, even in the most unusual places.”
